   It can work as a standalone camera for live view and alerts over Wi-Fi. For 24/7 recording and easy playback, pair it with a compatible NVR or use supported local recording options if available.

   Video is over Wi-Fi, but it still needs power. Plan for a nearby outlet or a clean power route.
   
3. Is Wi-Fi stable enough for outdoor security?
   It can be, if the signal is strong. I recommend placing it where you have solid Wi-Fi coverage, and using a wired access point or mesh node nearby if the signal is weak.
